Area Scouts | A.P.E.X. Program is seeking an experienced and data-driven sports professional to join our Strategic Team. We are now the exclusive partner for a massive national program, contracted to roll-out a nationwide Athlete Performance Assessment for high school athletes (ages 13 and up), for all organized high school sports programs.
This is a mission-critical role dedicated to operationalizing our automated software platform and ensuring the integrity, quality and security of athlete data collected across the country. This is more than a coaching role—it is a strategic leadership position that will help standardize athletic benchmarks for the next generation.
Key Requirements:
Coaching Expertise: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a sports coach.
Data & Statistical Experience: Experience in, and enthusiasm for, working with statistical data on athletes (ages 13 and up) across all sports.
Athlete Development: Proven ability to map out a wide range of athlete progression charts and journeys, servicing athletes whose goals range from excelling through the high school level to those with higher goals that wish to play collegiate or professional sports after graduation.
Technical Proficiency: Experience with tech platforms and knowledge of the UX/UI side of software, sports assessments and understanding of athlete development programming. Must be proficient in communication tools like Discord, Slack, Social Media Platforms, Email, and SMS.
CRM & Logistics: Experience managing customer relationship management (CRM) systems and overseeing logistics for assignments and scheduling for coaches and athletes.
What You'll Do and the Impact You'll Make:
Strategic Assignment Management
> Be assigned to our Strategic Team to help manage the fully automated software and systems that onboard and assign organizations, facilities, sponsors, coaches, athletes, directors, and mentors nationwide.
> Ultimately be responsible for matching athlete assessment assignments with the proper A.P.E.X. Evaluators, ensuring geographic and sport-specific integrity.
> Manage, maintain and build relationships with pro athletes, sports medicine professionals, collegiate athletes, recruiters, scouts, athletic directors, and other sports industry leaders.
> Collaborate with professional scouts, recruiters, and pro athletes from organizations such as MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL, NCAA, MLS, PLL, and other professional organizations to manage, maintain the assessments and athlete corrective measures that they have built within the software. Compile the data and statistics that are collected nationwide through these programs.
> Apply insights from this exclusive data to the current software algorithm, which helps athletes reach their athletic ceiling, gives them the best calculated chance to avoid injuries, and prepares them for the high school level, collegiate level, and ultimately gives them a solid foundation for the professional levels, for the elite athletes, which are less than 1% of all athletes.
Evaluator Support & Mentorship Integration
> Utilize people skills to support the A.P.E.X. Evaluator Network, run large team zoom meetings, oversee A.P.E.X. trainings, with an emphasis on privacy and data protection protocols and company policies with regard to child safety.
> Oversee the upcoming software integration for our exclusive athlete mentorship programs, connecting young athletes with collegiate and professional athletes who are part of our team of directors and advisors, and mentorship leaders.
Program Logistics & Quality Control
> Ensure high standards are maintained across all of our programs, including, but not limited to B.A.S.E., Sport Specific Assessments, and A.P.E.X. Assessments. It is a priority to make sure that all assessments are conducted under strict company policies and guidelines.
Program Role Clarification: Area Scouts is NOT a Recruiting Service.
Area Scouts is contracted by a national organization to facilitate the A.P.E.X. Athlete Assessments nationwide. Our primary mission is to build our evaluation team and provide high schools and athletes with objective, standardized metrics developed by sports professionals.
It is crucial to understand that we are not a recruiting service. Athletes and their parents maintain complete control over all personal data. Area Scouts does not engage in personal data sharing. All assessment data and scores collected by our national team of evaluators are transferred only as raw, aggregated numbers that are never attached to an athlete's personal identity, consistent with our company policies. Any sharing of profiles, personal data, or metrics by athletes or parents must be done independently.
IMPORTANT: We are experiencing massive growth at the moment, the largest that we have experienced in over 5 years. We want to thank you in advance for your patience as we manage the high volume of applications and onboarding of evaluators.
As we continue to roll out additional full-time and part-time leadership and management roles like this, we want to remind you that we stay committed to promoting from within. If you are already an Evaluator with the APEX Team, you will always get priority to interview for these higher-paying positions as they become available.
We are currently accepting resumes for this position from all applicants who wish to apply. If your resume meets all of the qualifications we are looking for, you will receive a link via email to book a LIVE interview.
All current A.P.E.X. Evaluators who are interested in one of these positions may skip the application/resume step and proceed straight to a LIVE interview through your dashboard on the platform.
